America’s “Independence from England” gave us the right to stand on our own feet, the freedom to be what we want to be, and the right to have government representation by the people. These videos show how I feel when I think of the revolution and the fight to have the freedoms we enjoy today. I hope you feel it too when you watch the following videos.
A moment of national pride took place recently in the White House when an American soldier, Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta, received the Medal of Honor for bravery above and beyond the call of duty in combat in Afghanistan. Sgt. Giunta became the first living American soldier to receive the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War.
Since it is close to the elections, let us think about the things that make us feel patriotic. You are invited to leave a comment with what you feel is patriotic. If you can figure out how to leave a video or picture that would be good as well. Don’t forget to vote please.
I think of the Founding Fathers and the sacrifices they made for us to establish the Constitution. And then I think of those who fought in the civil war to free us from the grips of England.
What would you want to tell the President? What do you think of this video? How does it make you feel? Do you see the perilous times we are in today, and how our youth are being perverted with Communism? I have never heard so many people talk about the merits of communism as I have the past month. That scares me because that is coming mostly from the youth.
Response to video: I, for one, will fight socialism to my dying breath….I am an American, not a socialist and I will never align myself with that way of thinking!….these idiots actually believe in what they do. So we have been fighting against their ideals since the communist/socialist ideas gained momentum. Now they are failing and we seem to be headed in their direction. Become communists, and fail. When did we need a foreign group to tell us how to be free market capitalists? Never.
