It is true that Harry Reid is not the only unpopular leader because of their arrogance. Mitch McConnell and John Boehner also have had trouble. People have tried to get both leaders replaced because of their unwillingness to be the Conservative Party they used to be…rather than a run-of-the-mill politician.
To date, seventeen states have sued the federal government in federal court in Texas. The President cannot use an executive order to ‘UNILATERALLY” suspend immigration laws for 4 million of 11 million “ILLEGAL ALIENS” in the United States. The lawsuit asks for an order from the federal court that “declares the president’s deferred action program violates the Constitution and the APA and grants an injunction against its implementation”.
How can an organization function without keeping track of its spending? And worse, how can an organization not know, at the beginning of every month, how much money they’ve got to spend? Well, that is what committee Chairman Darrell Issa, a California Republican, said our government is doing (according to The Times): “Yet year after year, that’s where the federal government operates.”
We reached the debt ceiling limit of $14.3 trillion dollars on May 16, but nothing devastating happened? Why? What did we expect would happen? Did we not expect that the government would have to shut down because it was out of money? Did we not expect that the government would be in default of it’s debts to the world? Did the media and government officials not tell us these things would happen if the Democrats didn’t get their way? Did the media and government officials not portray Republicans as the bad guys for not wanting to accept another huge budget without spending cuts and not wanting to raise the debt ceiling limit without $2 trillion in cuts? With all the threats told to the American People, did anything bad happen? Why?
The battle line is drawn on taxes. Republicans say it’s “no increase in taxes” and the Democrats say its “all tax increase”. Will they be able to meet in the middle? They will have to, but it’s likely going to take the “Gang of Six” (three Democrats and three Republicans) getting involved. They’ve been working on this for months.
Let’s send a message to Washington: Game Over for Spending
If we don’t take immediate action, we will only see our economic problems worsen. Help me fight for conservative values in Washington. Today we received news that the unemployment rate increased yet again to nine percent. And as Congress reconvened this week, I wanted to send you an update on the debate surrounding the economic challenges facing our country. Not only are we dealing with rising unemployment, but we are trying to fight rising debt.
It’s not enough that some Congressional Members understand the problem we face as a nation if ObamaCare is implemented, they have to be committed to preventing it from becoming a ball and chain around our necks for generations to come. Somehow, Americans need to get that message through to Congress.
According to Politico, The House voted Thursday to dethrone nine White House “czars.” It’s about time somebody in Congress steps up to the dictator we have in office, even if he is a likable man, and tell him where his powers end. Why Congress has not done something before now, even if they were mostly Democrats, is beyond me. It is pleasing to see some things are starting to make sense in Washington again.
