What’s in the news from October 1 and 2 goes from the “Listeria Outbreak” from cantaloupe and a wicked deadly spider to the 2012 elections. Mitt Romney is questioned by Huckabee and there were not sparks flying between them like there was in 2008. It is a very interesting interview, More talk about Herman Cain’s numbers growing and the demand for Christie to join the campaign trail.
Political News and Alert
Interesting videos about the politics in the news and the election. Even Perry talks about an alternative plan for Social Security that started thirty years ago and it is still working today.
School Districts Refuse to Distribute Constitution Booklets
This is another “Can We Believe It?” story!
The stupidity of some people’s biased attitudes just amazes me . A perfect example of this is demonstrated in an article from Glenn Beck’s BLAZE Newsletter. The 9/12 Project donated booklets of the Constitution to schools. However, because the 9/12 Project name and web address was printed on the booklets, some Floridian School Districts refused to distribute them.
Must See: Alex Jones News From Sept 1, 2011
The information revealed in this video is mind-boggling. You have to know what the government is doing to us. You need to know the facts so you can tell others that Obama is lying when he says he wants to improve jobs.
*His pretense of Congress passing a jobs bill
*Saying we need to increase manufacturing in the U.S. and then tries to shut them down: for example, he shut down several coal mines and stopped drilling for oil in the U.S. by putting a moratorium on drilling — even though they already been given permits and paid money — so drilling was moved to other countries.
*Taxing U.S. firms to the point that they cannot be competitive in world markets.
In Gibson Guitar’s case, he tries to chase business out of the U.S. to other countries (see end of video.)
Gibson Guitars Illegally Raided by Government
They are among the most sought-after musical instruments in the world. Everyone from Chet Atkins to Les Paul to Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin to Slash of Guns n’ Roses played them. A vintage 1959 Les Paul guitar can go for as much as $400,000. Almost every kid who has dreams of music stardom wants a Gibson guitars.
Is Corporate Taxes Impeding Recovery?
Five Points help you decide for yourself if Corporate Taxes are Impeding Recovery. “Corporate taxes in the United States are the second highest in the developed world”.
This situation places American firms at a “substantial competitive disadvantage,” according to a new report from the Tax Foundation. The “statutory tax rate in the U.S. is 39.1 percent, exceeded only by Japan among the 34 member nations in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)”. “Since 1997, 30 of the 34 nations have lowered their statutory rates, and the average corporate tax rate for OECD nations has dropped from 36.5 percent to the current 25.1 percent, according to the Tax Foundation. The U.S. has not lowered its rate during that period.”
Who Is Up For The GOP Race
Romney did well in the GOP Debate the other night so the question now is “Will people change their minds about voting for a Mormon when last election they said they wouldn’t?
Perry pretty much shot himself in the foot in the last GOP debate when he spoke about giving education grants to illegal immigrant’s children on the “Tax-Payer’s Dime”. That comment did not sit well with the audience or the Republican Party. It appears that this comment may have been his “Knock Out” blow.
Is It A Case of Divide and Conquer?
Progressive Democrats want something different for America than most of us want. Understanding what they want helps us understand why the Democrats have come on so strongly, at least since 2000 to 2008 elections, with rhetoric based on racism and negativity toward big business and big money. All of this plays a role in the divisiveness we see in America today, and explains the polarizing between parties and the American people.
An Interesting Day in The News
“Today has been an interesting day for the news. Here is a sampling of what I heard today.
Israel – In the GOP Debate, Presidential Candidate Herman Cain said the message should be:
If anyone messes with Israel they are messing with the United States. He received a huge applause for that comment. Ahmadinejad made a fool of himself at the UN again as delegates walked out”. Palestine’s President Abbas speech at UN General Assembly. Micahel Moore Threatens the Rich with civil disobedience (e.g., violence).
