Can you belive that Obama is blaiming the framers of the Constitution for his inability to give Americans everything he promised them in 2008? Yes, that is exactly what he did in an interview he did with Matt Lauer.
In his interview with Matt Lauer. He says he deserves a second term because he has made progress but he isn’t done and needs four more years. “The key now is to make sure that we don’t start turning in a new direction that could throw that progress off.” That sounds a lot like what he said earlier about Congress not “mucking up my recovery”.
President Obama refused to take any blame for his inability to come through on his campaign promises of “Hope and Change” by blaming our “Founding Fathers”; it’s their fault.
“What frustrates people is that I have not been able to force Congress to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008. Well, it turns out that our founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.”
His arrogance just gets me. He can’t force Congress to implement every aspect of what he wants to do? Oh darn, that little ol’ thing called the Constitution prevents him from dictating to ALL Americans the agenda the few in Washington want for America. Now that he has no more Democrat Control in Congress, he has to actually consider what the people want–and that’s a big pain in the neck for him. (See article and video at Obama on presidency: ‘You get better as time goes on’.)
The man is amazing to me. He actually believes that the right direction for America is Socialism, with the Power of “WE THE PEOPLE” becoming the Power of Government, and then the Power of Government gives the peasants what they think we need and the elite get what they want to become richer and more privileged.
When we add Obama’s complaint about the Constitution’s limitations to what Ginsburg told Egyptians, we see how the Elite Liberals in Washington think. Ginsburg said the following in an interview:
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in her visit to Cairo last week : ”I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012,”
Ginsburgsaid in an interview on Al Hayat television last Wednesday. “I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, have an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done.”
Fox News Channel reported the following: In a long interview with a reporter who asked her to explain the foundation of the U.S. Constitution and how it would be applied in today’s Egypt, Ginsburg suggested with pride that “we have the oldest written constitution still in force in the world, and it starts out with three words, ‘We, the people.’”
Ginsburg also extolled several aspects of the document, particularly the separation of powers, the concept of checks and balances and an independent judiciary that can’t have its salaries diminished if it rules a law enacted by Congress as unconstitutional.
After saying these wonderful things about America’s Constitution, Justice Ginsburg said that it may not be good for Egyptians. She suggested that they look into all the constitutions written since WWII. Then she pointed to Africa’s Constitution as well as Canada’s. What rubbed me wrong and ruffled the feather of many is her comment that these constitutions are better because of their 1982 Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the European Convention on Human Rights. She suggests that America’s Human Rights and Freedoms are lacking in America’s Constitution; and that’s just plain wrong!
This attitude of Ginsburg is not new. As a U.S. justice, she has previously stated that she weighs foreign law as well as U.S. law when forming a legal opinion. Ginsburg also told this same thing to an audience at the American Society of International Law in April 2005:
“The notion that it is improper to look beyond the borders of the United States in grappling with hard questions has a certain kinship to the view that the U.S. Constitution is a document essentially frozen in time as of the date of its ratification.”
Ginsburg also suggested that a constitution is only as good as the people who live by it. ”If the people don’t care, the best constitution in the world won’t make any difference,” she warned.
I don’t know about you, but I know that I am tired of our U.S. Justices not ruling ONLY by the Constitution and insist on considering International Law in their considerations. Just as Obama, they believe in the U.S. belonging to a Global Society and subject to the United Nations.
Yes, we must live in the world and be part of a Global Society in our business dealings, but that does not mean we have to live by Global Laws that are in violation of our own Constitution. The concept of New World Order, One Global Society, One Global Law, and One Global Governing Body is not acceptable to me and I hope it’s not acceptable to you either.
For America to become the nation our Founding Fathers had in mind and be the nation that I remember, she has to return to her basic values and principles that made her great. We have to replace those in Government who believe otherwise or we will evolve into the vision that the elite have for our future.
- America will become an entity much like a neutered dog. She will no longer have the will or the ability to be the “protector” of freedom and safety around the world and at home.
- America will globally become a mediocre and powerless entity. Perhaps an entity much like a toothless dog.
- America will become a disrespected entity that is laughed at when she tries to exert her power outside her borders. She is already disrespected and almost powerless within her own borders.
- America will be in chaos and civil war as “We The People” try to restore our freedom and the Constitution as written.
- America will see rebellion at home and abroad as she fights to restore her honor and respect to a place of good standing!
- Until America gets a grip on the liberal/progressive movement and restores security on her borders, she will never be safe and secure. Just as Israel has been taken into bondage in decades past, because of her defiance and lack of obedience to values and principles that warrant respect, America will be taken in bondage as well–possibly by Islamic radicals, evil “One World Order” radical leaders, or by our own evil dictatorial leaders who want more power than provided by the Constitution.
We must restore values and principles in ourselves and in our homes as well before we try to restore them to society. We each are lacking personally in one of more of the same areas as American leadership. Are we not acting in defiance in many aspects of our lives and lacking in obedience to values and principles that warrant respect? In my opinion, we could all improve.
We cannot demand from our leaders what we do not demand from ourselves. Leadership comes from our own homes and cities, so they reflect the values and principles that we exhibit. You want an example? In 2010, a grassroots movement flexed their muscles and sent people to Congress that reflect their values and principles. That is when Americans gave Congress a mandate to “Stop Reckless Spending” and to “Balance the Budget”. Now, it’s that mandate that is causing problems for Democrats and Obama today.
Americans are beginning to take back their country and restoring the values that embodied the greatness of this nation in past decades. We cannot stop now or let up on our commitments to each other. We are truly in a battle between good and evil and between Progressive Globalists and Conservative Constitutionalists.
