It is very easy to get sucked up in the doom and gloom that all of us feel about our country. The greatness asset of our country lies in our abilities to overcome and to see the silver lining in the clouds. What is the silver lining that we want to see when there is so much fear and concern about our country?
Well it depends on how you want to look at it? Is the glass half-full or half-empty? One of the ways we can have hope for our nation is for us to see ourselves being the change that we want America to be. Are we alone in this effort? No, as a matter of fact please join the ranks of thousands of people that see an under-current of patriotism and hope for change. It is happening all over America and so one should not be underestimated in our ability to endure hardships.
What is going on around America is beautiful but it has to be more than beautiful. I am not a pessimist by all means, but there is more to do to get our nation back on track. I am going to be bold as well as inspiring in this post to you my friends.
I hope you will agree with my assessment when I lay it out to you. When we hear or when we say God bless America what does this mean to the average American? God bless America and please God over look our sin and our sexual encounters and our gay rights stuff! God bless America when the prideful people do not look after the widows and the homeless! God bless America when we do not pay tithing by giving back a portion of our earnings to God and His work! God bless America when we have more men and women incarcerated in prisons than any other country in the world. God bless America when a father or family friend molests a child.
The God bless America stuff is out of vain and they are empty words to a nation that has been founded by our Forefathers and ” Under God ” and was to meant to be indivisible. It is divided by not practicing The Golden Rule in their relationship to their neighbors as well as those that suffer the effects of sin. It is not my intention to preach but it is a key to happiness, which is part of the rediscovering of America.
So what is the silver lining in all of this? It is when we go back to the principles of decency that we will be forgiven by God.
Forgive one another and take on a softer and sweeter position in life, a life to be a way shower for people looking for peace in their lives. Sin is not such a bad thing because it reminds us of the personal business that we need to take care of in order to receive the blessings and protection from God, if not then what purpose is our military fighting for?
They are fighting against evil and if we look at terrorism and tyranny as evil we too have to fight evil with decency. War is war and it has a different way of showing itself because of justifications. In my opinion the twenty first century is about fighting evil and not necessarily fighting countries. If we take a look at the faces of the enemy they have a different way of waging war. Tyranny is another way of waging war against the will of people which is an unalienable right we get from God to humanity. This is why peace has to be within every heart of an American. It is a blessing to every American while we go through the redefining of America.
We face evil when we we look at it as the American experiment. Experiments do not have much substance when experimenting with human lives that matter. We are the people that can rise up and bring about change. We do not have to live for the strong to disregard the weak. Pride and greed is evil because of conspiring men to take advantage of the weak, as much as conspiring prideful people forget about the widows, the fatherless, and the poor.
It is non sense to ask God to bless America. Asking God to overlook sin, pride, greed, sexual immorality, tolerance and acceptance with our character imperfections is only out of vain and it is without values. We have lost the glue that keeps our nation together!
We have become too tolerant for debauchery and when we lose a sense of decency, we do not have an iron rod to hold on to. We need to pray for America and for America to return back to the principles of ” In God We Trust ” and the truths about ” One Nation Under God.”
” When we do not stand for something – we fall for anything and everything “ is a phrase that comes to mind. How would our Forefathers like it if we have become, wishy washy opinionated people with no back bone? We need to have back bone in order to have the conviction it will take to go through what is in store when redefining America.
Our country has not been high-jacked by progressives, if anything it has been high-jacked by squatters that do not do anything but complain and tear down America. This is not the America that once was, it is the America that we have made it become. Do we continue to let our country fall into a deep dark hole or do we as Americans rise up to be what America has always been, a country that the citizens are bold, innovative, resourceful, and patriotic?
Americans is the greatest country in the world because we are resourceful when we need to be. We are Americans that find solutions to set backs when other citizens of nations would give up. It is our exceptionalism that makes us the light on the hill for other nations and we are the light in darkness, even though we experience a period of darkness ourselves. However, we are Americans and we look for the silver lining in the clouds.
We are America and our flag will still fly and the American people will stand strong and patriotic!
