Iran’s defense minister announced today that military forces have successflly fired a missile with an enhanced guidance system that can hit ground targets, which puts Israel and U.S. ships in the Persian Gulf in harms way. With Iran’s aggressive program that includes plans to build 20 nuclear power reactors, this news is even more alarming.
Despite pressure from the U.S., Europe, and heavy sanctions imposed by the UN, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad refuses to back down. Surely, this new launch heightens our own concern about Iran arming missiles with nuclear warheads. Should we worry?
U.S. Officials assure Israel that Iran needs about a year to develop a nuclear weapon. Judith Miller, a Fox News expert, said it would be several years before they have nuclear weapons. Bolton says that the time is much shorter than a year before Iran will have nuclear weapons. Three different time-lines from different experts, who should we believe? My vote is on John Bolton. 
John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., made it clear on interviews with Fox News that, if Iran gets fueling rods loaded into Busherh reactor this Friday–even if it is just for heat–is a concern. It will put them at a point of no return because nobody will be able to stop them without releasing radiation.
Although this news threatens Israel more than us, it does make one wonder about the safety and security of our own nation. Should we worry if this Friday puts Iran on course for nuclear weapons? If other countries are willing to go around UN sanctions to help Iran, then perhaps we should worry.
When asked if he thinks President Obama would use force to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, John Bolton said he thinks it’s doubtful. He believes Obama is resigned to the idea that Iran will become nuclear.
Below are videos to watch that show why we should be concerned about what Iran is doing right now. The first video is about Iran launching an EMT (electro magnetic) missile. It is suspect they they have already tested the possibility. So, if they succeed, America would be sent back into the dark ages.
