James Carville’s polling company reports troubling trends for party in power.The fact that Carville is a strong Democrat and Liberal makes his report even more striking.
Pat Caddell, former pollster for President Carter and a very strong Democrat has strong words about the direction of his party.
1. He says 54% of the silent majority believe that President Obama’s policies have not helped the economy come out of a recession. He said what stunned him is that only 39% say they agree that the President saved the country from the brink with his policies.
2. These numbers are the whole basis of this administration. Nevertheless, they keep trying to convince people that they are better now than they were with Bush and that his policies are working to save America.
3. These numbers from Carville’s poll show that people aren’t buying it. They know that the President’s dream team cannot save America. We also saw this in Missouri. Over a million people voted against the Health Care Law.
4. Caddell says this is a disaster coming in November. There is a bigger issue here. The Democrat Party is fractured. He says, “A whole lot of Democrats believe as myself that the Democrat Party is supposed to stand for the people. Essentially the Democrat Party has been hijacked by an educated, an over-educated elite group who basically don’t care about the people.”
5. The polls show that people don’t believe they are being listened to. A CNN poll shows 57% of the people believe the Federal Government is becoming a direct and immediate threat to their own freedom.
