States’ Opposition to Health Care Spreading
It’s interesting to note that 71% of the voters passed their opposition to the Health Care Bill that was crammed down their throats by Congress.
Critics are saying that ithis vote is mainly symbolic. It probably won’t stand up when challenged. Even if their vote doesn’t stand, the people have spoken and their voice has been heard.
The White House and mainstream media have completely ignored Missouri’s vote. Are we surprised? Nope! What else would we expect from them. Ignoring seems to be a habit of this administration and the Liberal mainstream media.
There are six states right now who have laws on the books that have been passed, with three more states working on something similar. In addition, we have 21 states that have challenged the legality of the Health Care Bill and have filed law suits.
Government Ignoring American People’s Will?
The greatest complaint that Americans have about their government is that they are ignored and are not being represented in Congress. They feel that special interest groups get the attention instead because it bolsters their careers. Ambitions and agendas become their motivation instead of doing the “Will of The People” who elected them.
Although newly elected representatives go off to Washington with good intentions, it isn’t long before they become part of the system. Once they taste the power they have and begin to feel how important they are, it isn’t long before great ideals turn into greed and lust for more power. The next step is corruption and making deals. This is good reason for advocating term limits. The same thing should be true for judges.
