Summary of Changes to House bill HR3590

I read everything that come down the pike on protecting our rights and the Constitution. I am sure you will find this information important to you as well.

This is a perfect example of why we have to make sure the Republicans take over the majority in Congress. We may not like them any more than Democrats, but a vote that is not Republican is vote for Democrat – it’s just that simple.

Once we replace Democrats then we can work on replacing Republicans. If we don’t take back the house we can’t repeal what Obama and his cohorts did to the workers of America. We have to stop this terrible crime against the middle class by progressive liberal’s vision of redistributing the wealth, not only in America but in the world as well.

God was behind the forefather’s coming to America and their revolution. He was behind the establishment of the Constitution according to George Washington. He made it very clear that he knew that God in Heaven was orchestrating everthing and guiding their efforts. We need to get back to what our Constitution provides and remember the principles that made our nation great and admired by other nations.

Let me share this email with you that came to me yesterday.

Subject: Well America voted for Change….and they got it. Open your wallets.

I researched this and added the direct link.

The cost of health insurance is not included in your gross income. Employers are required to report health insurance on the W-2 as a way to track coverage. Note that the Section 9002 included below states that the insurance costs will be on the form, not included in the reported gross income of the employee.

O K, folks. The devil is always in the details. Here is one of the nice little gotchas that your representative did for you. You might want to send them a little thank you note with hugs and kisses to boot. This comes from a retired Marine Corps Major General. Here are his (edited) comments:

I contacted my Congressman about House bill HR3590 the health care bill just passed. I asked for a summary of changes. The aid directed me to go to http://www.thomas.gov ; enter HR3590 in the search Box, click on “Bill Number” and look for summaries. A direct link can be found here:

http://www.thomas.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/D?d111:1:./temp/~bdnSbw:@@@D&summ2=m&|/bss/111search.html|

Starting in 2011 (next year folks) your W 2 tax form sent by your employer Will be increased to show the value of what ever health insurance you are Given by the company. It does not matter if that’s a private concern or Governmental body of some sort. If you’re retired ? So what ; your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get. You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen.

Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That’s what you’ll pay next year. For many it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it’s even worse. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for 15 % that don’t have insurance and it’s only part of the tax increases.

Not believing this I researched the summaries and here’s what I’m reading:

On page 25 of 29 :

TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec . 9001 , as modified by sec. 10901)

Sec.9002. “requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income.”

Joan Pryde is the senior tax editor for the Kiplinger letters. Go to Kiplingers and read about 13 tax changes that could affect you. Number 3 is what I just told you about.

Will you please be aware of these things when your voting date arrives? Don’t stay home, please. Vote or not vote just gives the Democrats an advantage, which we cannot afford right now in this nation.

Very interesting stuff. Looks like you have done your homework on this. How wonderful of our elected official to give us this excellent insurance that they themselves will not have to have. I am so excited for this to come to be. I love being sarcastic about this….

I concur with you Judith about voting however, I want to expand on it a little more.

Why is it that some of the people that did not vote have the most complaints about how someone is doing their jobs. This kind of descent is worse because of the negative affect they have on others.

Let us not fall into the trap of the media polarization of politics. This is not about Republican or Democrat. It is about having the pendulum go to the right so that we can be conservative enough to get out of this mess. We have to be conservative in order to reverse the direction of doom.

I suggest that people read up on our forefathers so they will know what we established America on in the first place. We did not have our country founded by special interest groups or lobbyists. Our country was founded on the principles of the pursuit of happiness and not debt brought on by reckless politicians.

Well enough of the soapbox theatrics.
